Steam owners of Hitman 3 are getting free edition upgrade for the game. Hitman 3 finally launches on Steam. Hitman 3 was originally exclusively launched on the Epic Games Store and stayed there for one year. Now, developers decided to bring it to the Steam platform at the same price.

The game receives overall mixed reviews on Steam. The reason behind negative reviews on Steam is due to it being a full $60 even after being on the market for a year. The developers are trying a new way to attract more and more players. Under this, the developers are releasing free upgrades to all the Hitman 3 copies purchased on Steam till February 19, 2022.

Fans who purchase the game on Steam following its launch on January 20 are eligible for a free upgrade game. The developer admitted in its post that Hitman 3’s Steam launch didn’t exactly go as planned following a flurry of fan backlash over the topic.

The specific upgrade will depend upon which version of the game you have purchased. This means that the standard editions of Hitman 3 will get updated to the deluxe editions for free and the deluxe editions and trilogy copies will get converted into the Seven Deadly Sins Collection for free too.

So, here’s what we’re going to do: Everyone on Steam who has already bought HITMAN 3, or anyone that buys the game through to February 19th, 2022, will be granted a free upgrade.

•  All HITMAN 3 Standard Edition owners will get a free upgrade to the HITMAN 3 Deluxe Edition.
• All HITMAN 3 Deluxe Edition or HITMAN Trilogy owners will get a free upgrade to the Seven Deadly Sins Collection.

The Deluxe Edition adds the following new content to the base game: Deluxe Escalation Contracts, deluxe suits and items, digital soundtrack, digital “World of HITMAN” book, and director commentary (Mission Introduction).

The upgrade process reportedly begins today and rolls out automatically via Steam entitlements. All owners of the titles have to do is launch their Steam copy of Hitman 3 and the new content from the free upgrade will be available.
