Facebook-owned Instagram is adding a new feature that lets users post photos and videos from their desktop computers, after more than a decade. This will make it simpler for users to manage their accounts even for the desktop web browser.

Not only this, Instagram for the web has come with major updates. Now, you will be able to see many options available at the top right center of their tab. Now, users can send messages, create posts, there is an explore tab too that will let users find new posts.

Every time, Instagram brings new features for its users. Earlier, Instagram users could only view stories on desktop and post stories only from their mobile app. this feature was added in 2017. Last year, Instagram added the feature of Direct messaging from the web.

According to the reports, a number of updates will be available for the social media platform on October 21, which will allow users worldwide to have the option of posting photos and short videos (less than one minute)

Instagram is also working on new ways to make the platform a safe place for young users. The photo-sharing app will now introduce a new feature that would ask teenagers to maintain a safe distance from harmful content and encourage them to “take a break” from Instagram.

The global test is only available to a small group of people who already have their Facebook profiles linked to a personal, creator, or business account on Instagram

How it can be done?

If you are using a PC computer, you can post pictures on Instagram by using your web browser. Here are the steps:

  • Open the web browser of your device and go to Instagram.com
  • Now, you need to go to the settings of your device. For this, tap on the three dots on the right side
  • Click on More Tools and then Developer’s Tools
  • Tap the mobile button
  • Click to responsive
  • A drop-down menu will appear. Select the mobile device interface you like to choose.
  • Refresh the page. Instagram feed will appear on the screen.
