Live: Cuyahoga County officials hold press conference on vaccines

[ad_1]

PARMA, Ohio — Cuyahoga County Health Commissioner Terry Allen and other officials are set to hold a press conference Thursday regarding the area’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

Experts will share details on who will be getting the vaccines as well as the registration process. However, a portion of the briefing will likely focus on an apparent misstep in reaching out to people wishing to get the shots.

3News has confirmed multiple residents were sent information encouraging them to “register” to be vaccinated at the County Fairground in Berea. While many feared this was a scam, officials tell us this was indeed legit, but it was supposed to go out to people in Ohio’s 1A group, such as health care workers and those in nursing homes.

We will stream the entire press conference live at 1:30 p.m. on WKYC.com, the 3News app, and the 3News Facebook and YouTube pages.
