NYC carjacker critically injured after driver rams him into pole

An attempted Bronx carjacker is now clinging to life in the hospital after the victim — who was shot during the scuffle — drove off, pinning him against a pole, cops said.

The 24-year-old driver had pulled over in his 2015 Jeep Cherokee just after midnight Tuesday on Fairmount Place near Prospect Avenue in Crotona when a group of three men tried to yank him from the car, police said.

When the victim attempted to drive away, one of the men opened fire, striking him in the right hand and grazing his head.

But the wounded victim kept driving — and ended up crashing into a pole, pinning a second suspect, according to cops.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.

That suspect was not the alleged shooter, though he did have some loose rounds in his pocket, police said.

The gunman and the third suspect took off on foot, authorities said.

The Cherokee driver was also transported to St. Barnabas, where he is listed in stable condition.
