“Mike McCarthy Knows How to Deal with Adversity” – Aaron Rodgers Backs Dallas Cowboys Coach

0

The Dallas Cowboys are having a tough outing in the NFL this season. The Jerry Jones-owned franchise were one of the favorites in the build-up to the 2020 season. They made some smart roster moves in the offseason. They also drafted promising young wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb, who was later given the famous ’88’ jersey.

But despite their superiority on paper, the Cowboys have underperformed over the first six weeks of the season. New head coach Mike McCarthy, who was previously employed in Wisconsin with the Green Bay Packers, is under immense pressure to deliver results at the moment.

However, two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers has no qualms regarding McCarthy’s ability to deliver.

Aaron Rodgers gives his two cents on the Dallas Cowboys and former coach Mike McCarthy

Aaron Rodgers made his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week. He was asked to comment on the difficult circumstances surrounding former coach Mike McCarthy’s debut season in Dallas. The injury to Dak Prescott, an underperforming defense, and a sub-par Ezekiel Elliott are some of the obstacles that McCarthy has dealt with in recent weeks.

“As far as I know what the facts are today…They’re in 1st place in the division. 1st place in any division regardless of the record assures you a home playoff game.

“We won our division in 2013 at 8-7-1….So, you know, that Division has obviously been a little down this year. Philly is what 1-4-1 and the other two teams are 1-5…but they still have a lot of games against each other.”

“It’s a long season, obviously losing Dak doesn’t help because he off to one of the greatest starts in history…you know that tragic injury but Mike knows how to deal with any type of adversity,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show.

The Dallas Cowboys are currently on a 2-3 record in the NFL after six games. In the absence of the magnificent Dak Prescott, Mike McCarthy’s boys succumbed to a 10-38 loss at the hands of Kyler Murray’s Arizona Cardinals in Week Six. It will be interesting to see if backup quarterback Andy Dalton can step up and lead the Cowboys to a much-needed win against the Washington Football Team this weekend.

Mick Schumacher’s F2 Championship Hopes Given a Major Boost With Positive Development

0

Mick Schumacher’s Formula 2 victory in Sochi was followed by a notice of intention to appeal a stewards’ decision. The rival teams ART, Carlin, DAMS, and Virtuosi had submitted their appeal.

Formula 2 had confirmed the race results, declaring Mick Schumacher as the winner. However, the results were subject to the appeals lodged by the rival teams.

According to a report by Racefans, the rival teams are have decided to drop the appeal against the Prema team.

The report stated, “[The] rival teams have decided against proceeding with appeals against his Prema team following his feature race victory in Sochi.”

Why was the appeal lodged?

During the Sochi race, Prema’s team principle Rene Rosin was found gesturing to the crew pit about the drivers’ pit stop. According to the Formula 2 regulations, only 12 operational members are allowed to associate with the operation of the car.

Rene Rosin was not registered as one of the members for the Russian Grand Prix. As a result, the stewards fined the Prema team with a fine of €10,000. After reviewing the footage, the stewards ruled that Rosin had not broken any operational limits. Therefore, no championship points were deducted.

However, the rival teams were of a different opinion. They believed that there was a violation of operational limits and lodged an appeal against the decision.

Mick Schumacher’s Formula 2 championship hopes

Following the victory at Sochi, Mick Schumacher leads the drivers’ championship by 22 points. The four more remaining races of the 2020 Formula 2 season will take place in Bahrain.

If the rival teams had managed to succeed with their appeal, Schumacher would have had to concede 25 points from his tally. He would have dropped down to the second position and his championship dreams would have been in danger.

The decision to withdraw the appeal has surely boosted Mick Schumacher’s hopes of winning the 2020 Formula 2 championship. Moreover, the German must be very excited to step into the Formula 1 grid next season.

Xbox Series X can render alternative realities at the same time

The medium’s dual-reality system is a unique idea for a horror game and has confused a lot of fans regarding the game dynamics. However, the community team of the game has come to their rescue. In a recent video by Bloober Team, Michal Napora explains how the dual reality system of the game works:

The developers have released a premonition video since a lot of fans have been asking about the game’s dual reality. According to Michal, it is either a gift or a curse, to exist in two places at once. There are two realities in the game that include a physical one, and a spiritual one. Players will spend a maximum of their time in a single reality, but there will be times that they will be a part of two realities at the same time.

The protagonist of the game is Marianne, and when her gift kicks in, players will experience two simultaneous realities. As a result, the game will split into two screens and both of them will be rendered at the same time. The idea to have multiple screens in the game is only possible because of the high-end Xbox Series X and S.

Quick Guide to control Marianne in both the realities

Interestingly, both the realities are co-dependent and Marianne’s actions in one reality can affect the other. Players can control the physical and spiritual avatars of the protagonist with the left analog sticks on their controllers. However, certain actions and powers of the protagonist will only work in a single reality. Players can use the gifts to help her progress further in both the realities simultaneously.

The Medium’s dual reality system is a mind-boggling idea. Apart from it, the game also has a splendid sound design and decent graphics. To sum up, the game is a must-play for any horror genre fan. Fans around the world have their eyes on the game already, and might even buy the Xbox Series X for it.

Erik Jones the ‘Rookie of the Year’ in all three NASCAR national series and former Truck Series champion is really looking forward to the season of 2021 in the NASCAR Cup Series with Richard Petty Motorsports(RPM).

This move came in the wake of Jones being replaced with Christopher Bell by the Joe Gibbs Racing(JGR) team.

He has also stated that he will be looking to go out and “get rid of the chip on his shoulder” and prove people wrong.

I felt like I had earned my spot (in the Cup Series) and had been a proven winner and just needed the pieces in place, and the right thing in place, to continue to go out and do that,” the new driver of the No. 43 car said.

The Secret Behind Roman Reigns’ Iconic Logo

0

There have been a lot of gimmicks over the years that have absolutely killed it in the merchandise section of the WWE store. The company makes a huge profit off of these sales in T-Shirts, ring-gear replica, collectables, action figures, and other apparel. A huge contributor to this revenue is Roman Reigns.

“The Big Dog”, ever since being established as the face of the company, has seen a spike in merchandise sales. He is very popular still amongst the young crowd as well as the new generation of WWE fans that are taking over the demographic.

The main feature of Reigns’ gear that is also recurring is his logo. There has been a lot of speculation over what the logo means. It looks like a spider, resembling the Spiderman suit, but also manages to stand out on its own.

As you can see above, the ‘R and R’ is pretty simple to understand. It stands for Roman Reigns. But what about that spike in the middle? The spike has been the topic of discussion to numerous WWE fans over the years.

Roman Reigns may have been inspired by Jeff Hardy…. or Spiderman

The logo as a whole looks a lot like Jeff Hardy’s back when he teamed up with his brother Matt in WWE. It is possible that a young Roman Reigns drew inspiration from this concept and had his logo feature a similar shape and layout.

A bigger theory that has gained heat is that the logo was inspired by the Spiderman classic suit logo. A recurring symbol of the red and blue superhero, the Spider has been a trademark of one of Marvel’s best characters.

However, the most sensible theory is that the logo forms a sort of diamond shape that resembles a shield when looked at from a distance. This is reminiscent to Roman’s first gig on the main roster as a member of The Shield.

The Shield has a big role to play in the logo

“The Big Dog” conquered the main roster through wolf-pack like attacks on Superstars along with Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) and Seth Rollins. All there NXT recruits made their main roster debuts through this gimmick.

They used their superior numbers to conquer opponents stranded at the centre of the ring. The Shield will never be whole again now since Ambrose now wrestles for AEW under the ring name Jon Moxley.

There is a huge observation that Reigns’ character never truly moved on from The Shield. This is mainly because he never changed his ring attire after the team split up twice!

His gimmick and character were also essentially the same. Only in late 2020, he debuted as a heel and changed his ring attire, losing the chest guard. However, “The Big Dog” still retains the logo, probably as a stark reminder of who he first was, and who he always will be as a character.

The Spike means something simpler than you think

The spike in the middle of the two Rs has been another dilemma. No one knows the symbolism of it, and Reigns himself has not spoken about it. We have no idea who created the logo so there’s no one to ask about it.

There is a possibility that the spike is a stake or a memento of his victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania. The stake is something used to kill a vampire or an evil being. Since Taker was “The Deadman”, it makes sense.

The most viable conclusion is that the stake is actually a Spear, which is the finishing move of Roman Reigns. The Spear goes well with his gimmick of the Roman Empire and he has put down every opponent with that move.

It’s unlikely that Reigns will ever change this logo since it has become a trademark for his merchandise sales. Reigns has already achieved what many Superstars haven’t throughout their entire career. He is set to become one of the greatest and will undoubtedly persevere to reach there.

“Iconic Number 23” – Denny Hamlin On Major Revelation about Team with Michael Jordan and Bubba Wallace

0

Early this year, the NASCAR community went wild after Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan announced the arrival of a new team. The NBA legend was hugely invested in the sport and soon threw his hat in the ring. Before long, they recruited Bubba Wallace for the coming season.

Now, more details have emerged about the fledgling team, namely the team name and the racing number. Rather fittingly, the team has been christened, 23XI Racing, and the race number is #23, the same as Jordan’s jersey number.

Speaking about the team, Denny Hamlin said, “Michael and I have a shared vision for this team, so it’s exciting to see it reflected in the team name and on the race car with the iconic number 23 that Michael made famous.”

How did Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin settle on this name?

According to reports, a company called 2311 Racing LLC sought to trademark the name 23XI Racing and the number 23. The source of the application came from ‘The Sacks Group’. Coincidentally, Michael Jordan is a client of the same company, so the odds were that the two were somehow related.

Going into the specifics, 23XI seemingly incorporates Jordan’s jersey number and Denny Hamlin’s racing number. Since Hamlin is already racing with his #11 car, it would be odd to see his car number as part of a different team. Luckily, he seems to have found a way around that little obstacle.

Jordan even admitted, “At the end of the day, I want him [Bubba Wallace] to have his own identity. If he chooses to drive that number (23), great! If he chooses another number, that’s great as well.”

Obviously, both Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin want the very best for a driver of Wallace’s caliber. Bubba Wallace has proven on a few occasions that he is perfectly capable of winning races. It is worth noting that Wallace could be potentially driving a Toyota, but it is all still rumor until 23XI clears the air.

For now, Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace are concentrating on wrapping up the 2020 season. The former is still in Playoff contention and eager to seal a berth in the Championship 4. Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace has nothing to lose in these next three races. However, he will be keen to end his Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) stint on a high note.

Mercedes F1 Detail the Reason Behind Valtteri Bottas’ Eifel GP DNF

0

Valtteri Bottas had a devastating retirement in the Eifel Grand Prix. After starting on pole and fighting for the championship, Bottas had an early retirement from the race. He was visibly distraught in the post-race interview.

According to initial reports, Mercedes’ MGU-H system was stated to be the perpetrator. However, further investigation revealed that the real culprit was the Control Electronics unit.

The Formula 1 website has now reported that the issue was with the Control Electronics on Valtteri’s silver arrow.

According to the report, Toto Wolff stated, “We have identified a failed electrical component in the Control Electronics as the cause of the problem, and the evidence suggests that swift action in retiring the car prevented mechanical damage to his power unit.”

The effect of retirement on Valtteri Bottas’ Championship hopes

Before Eifel Grand Prix, the Finn was 44 points behind Lewis Hamilton. Sitting at pole position, Valtteri Bottas had an advantage and a race win could have made the championship fight more interesting.

Unfortunately, Bottas could only manage a DNF result. Lewis Hamilton managed to record his 91st victory, increasing his championship lead to 69 points.

A DNF result is understandably rough for any driver.

Mercedes team boss, Toto Wolff said, “A DNF is always tough for a driver, but one of Valtteri’s biggest strengths is his resilience and his ability to bounce back, so I’m sure he’ll be eager to hit the track in Portugal.”

WATCH – Valtteri Bottas Retires From the Eifel GP Following Sudden Power Loss

This weekend Formula 1 is going to the second new circuit of the season – Portimao. Like Mugello, it will surely add some variability and excitement to the race. It will hopefully excite the drivers standing too.

The race win at Portimao is important for Valtteri Bottas to stay in the championship race. Meanwhile, the silver arrows have a chance to seal the constructor’s championship this weekend at the Portuguese Grand Prix.

A win for Lewis Hamilton at Portimao will make him the driver with most Formula 1 race wins. Therefore, the exciting Portimao could decide the fate of the 2021 Formula 1 championships.

Chris Bosh Admits it was Tough being NBA’s Villain Alongside Miami Heat Teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade

0

In 2010, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh joined the Miami Heat to form the Heatles. The trio were expected to win multiple titles during their stint, and they won two championships in four tries.

But those titles came at a cost to the superstars. The 2010-2014 Heat were unarguably the most hated team in NBA history. For starters, they altered the balance of the league, and second, LeBron left the city of Cleveland.

Cavs fans went bizarre after the infamous decision by James in the 2010 offseason. Chris Bosh talked about how the team took on the role of villains when he appeared on “The Load Management” podcast by Complex.

It’s tough man, you don’t see yourself doing that… You never look at it like that, you see it in your mind that it’s going to go a certain way and not even thinking that oh, maybe we probably will be playing heel the whole season. Because we are not even thinking that. We are just trying to put our best team together, and that was it.

Everything else came on as a bombardment, which I totally get it. And we were steadily just always trying to move and same time trying to gel as a team.”

As Bosh revealed, they might never have guessed the amount of hate fans would deliver to them. But at the end of the day, they embraced that heel role and won two NBA Champions even while undergoing a potentially disastrous situation.

Miami Heat: The post-Big 3 era

After the Heat lost in the 2014 finals, rumors surfaced that the era of Heat’s Big 3 was over. The rumors came true as LeBron returned to the Cavaliers next season. Wade and Bosh were also looking sluggish and near the end of their primes.

In the next few years, the Heat struggled to make it back to the NBA Finals behind a mediocre team. But that all changed in the 2019-20 season when they signed Jimmy Butler. Butler emerged as the leader of the Heat and carried them to the NBA Finals after 6 long years.

Although they couldn’t win it all this season, they have a chance to run it back and possibly repeat the same success.

Can the Heat repeat their successful season?

Sasha Banks vs Bayley at Hell in a Cell Will Have an Unexpected Outcome – Here’s Why

0

Bayley vs Sasha Banks is a rivalry that WWE have taken too long to pull the trigger on. The two put on absolute clinics in NXT in 2015 and were a formidable team on the main roster.

Both superstars have won every active Women’s championship in WWE. Now, they clash in a titanic Hell in a Cell match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Roles Reversed

Down in NXT, Sasha played the vicious heel, and Bayley played the plucky babyface. Both women were incredibly over with the WWE Universe and that helped in their success on the main roster.

Now, the roles are reversed. Sasha plays the face while Bayley plays the sneaky heel opportunist. Bayley has been incredible as a heel and her run as champion is reminiscent of CM Punk’s 434-day run with the WWE Championship.

Sasha Banks’ popularity has been on a steady increase since she made her main roster debut in 2015. Not only has she been getting increasingly popular with the WWE Universe, she has become one of the best wrestlers in the world, irrespective of gender. Fans would love to see Sasha win the title against Bayley, but is that what WWE have in store at Hell in a Cell?

Predictions for Sasha Banks vs Bayley

The match will be a brutal one in accordance with the animosity between the two. Sasha will be on the offence, unleashing hell on her ex-best friend.

Bayley will weather the initial emotional storm from Sasha and turn the tables on her. She will batter Sasha with chair shots, in a callback to her heel turn on SmackDown. Sasha’s neck would be a target of Bayley’s assault.

Sasha has proven that she can get crafty in the cell. Her match against Becky Lynch was one of the best Hell in a Cell matches in recent memory due to Sasha’s innovation. Expect innovative spots involving kendo sticks, steel chairs, handcuffs and of course- tables. However, it will be Sasha who goes through the table, courtesy of an elbow drop by Bayley.

The closing stretch of the match would be Bayley and Sasha struggling for control on the top rope to avoid going through the tables set up below them. Sasha looks to hit Bayley with a superplex but Bayley’s focus on Sasha’s injured neck prevents her from hitting the move. Bayley manages to push Sasha off of her and looks to hit her with a flying elbow through the tables.

Controversial finish?

Banks stops Bayley, and is able to hit her with a superplex causing both women to go through the table. Bayley’s arm falls over Sasha’s body as the referee counts to three and she retains the title. This finish would be controversial enough to get people talking, and would be enough to warrant a rematch.

This storyline has enough backstory for it to be a potential WrestleMania main event. Hell in a Cell is only the first chapter in it, hence warranting the controversial finish. But the ending aside, this match would surely be one for the ages.

“That’s My Jab!”- Daniel Cornier Has a Laugh Over Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Punching Technique

0

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Daniel Cormier are the MMA bromance that everyone loves to watch. The AKA training partners have a fantastic relationship, helping each other through their careers. Out of all the non-Dagestani fighters in the UFC, Khabib is probably the closest to DC. A lot of this is also because of the time they spent working directly with each other and Coach Javier Mendez.

Both men are wrestling specialists, but have shown more than competent standing technique. Khabib, in particular, has a very effective short jab which helps maintain distance between him and his opponents. DC jokingly claimed that he was the one who taught Khabib the jab, before admitting that all credit should go to Javier Mendez.

“I taught him the jab. That’s my jab. We used to just stand there and try to punch each other in the face with a jab. ‘Oo that’s a jab DC’, ‘yeah you got me with that one’. We just constantly keep throwing the jabs.

“Javier, actually. Javier showed it to him.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov and his underrated striking

Khabib Nurmagomedov may be a wrestler, but his striking doesn’t leave him high and dry. He is a very efficient striker, using his strikes as disguises for his takedowns. As most of Khabib’s opponents brace themselves for takedowns, Khabib pops in and out with punches before going for takedowns. The routine may be familiar but is nevertheless unstoppable.

Dana White came out recently and defended Khabib’s striking. We have seen countless examples of Khabib having the ability to throw. The most notable punch has to be the one that dropped Conor McGregor when they fought at UFC 229. What was even impressive was that Conor didn’t drop Khabib, despite being the striking specialist.

Even at the UFC pre-fight conference, Khabib felt the need to remind the media that his jab is strong. Just because his preferred area of fighting is on the ground doesn’t mean that Khabib is a slouch on the feet. While he can’t stand and bang with the elite strikers for five rounds, he is more than capable of bringing them down and dominating them from top position.
