Teen’s dream of going on a date with Godzilla finally comes true

0

Her bridezilla dreams have been realized at last.

Seira Watanabe is still a teenager, but she may be Godzilla’s biggest fan. The 13-year-old has seen every one of the King of the Monsters’ films and has also amassed an impressive collection of Godzilla merchandise and action figures. She can even do a convincing version of his roar. One day, she hopes to marry the prehistoric sea monster.

In hopes of turning her reptilian romance dream into a reality, she recently wrote to the producers of the television show “Tantei! Knight Scoop,” which takes viewers’ (frequently strange) requests and makes them happen, Kotaku reported. Watanabe asked the show for a date with Godzilla.

“My love is so great that I would like to marry Godzilla,” she wrote, which landed her a date with her reptilian Romeo.

The show’s most recent episode takes place at Watanabe’s Hyōgo Prefecture home, where she talks about Godzilla and her love for him and walks viewers through her reptile figurine collection.

Then, the blinds lift on a door, and there he is in the scaly flesh. Watanabe covers her mouth, delighted beyond words, falls to the ground and begins hyperventilating at the sight of Godzilla in her home.

Once she has recovered from her initial shock, she runs outside to take Godzilla’s hands in hers and pat his chest in astonishment.

She then packs a bento box and, with her grandfather as chaperone, goes on a date with Godzilla. The pair’s adorable itinerary included holding hands on a visit to the Godzilla Museum, eating the contents of the bento box together — of course, pretending that Godzilla is capable of consuming food and tea — and hugging on the beach at sunset. Watanabe eventually pulled down her transparent face mask to give the lizard a smooch and then asked for his slimy hand in marriage. While Godzilla declined, it was certainly a date to never forget.

SHOCKING: Stan Wawrinka Discloses Retirement Date

0

Stan Wawrinka just loves social media. He is a social and fun-loving guy who likes to react, write comments, and answer questions, especially on Instagram. Recently, he put ‘Ask me a question’ on his Instagram story. A fan asked a tricky question to the 3-time Grand Slam winner. He asked if the Swiss player was considering to retire at any time soon.

Wawrinka is 35 years old at the moment. He is certainly fit but surely lacks the same intensity as he used to have. But, what was shocking was that the Swiss responded that he would retire anytime soon. This is definitely not what fans wanted to hear. It was astonishing, coming out of the box completely.

“Soon, don’t worry,” replied Wawrinka on Instagram.

The Swiss player even put a ‘thumbs up’ picture in the background highlighting his fighting spirit.  He clearly wanted to say that his decision of leaving the sport could come anytime soon. Also, he made it out clear sarcastically that it would be his decision and others don’t need to take any sort of worries regarding the issue.

Recent Form of Stan Wawrinka

Wawrinka has been in and out of touch lately. It has become a trend in 2020 that he starts the tournament with a bang but loses his charm by the time he reaches the fourth round or the quarter-finals.

The 35-year-old played really well at the Australian Open 2020 till he met Alexander Zverev in the quarters. He lost despite winning the first set. He played beautifully at the Mexican Open 2020 until Grigor Dimitrov thrashed him in straight sets in the quarters again.  Then, he did not take part in the US Open 2020.

People were expecting something big from Wawrinka after he defeated former World No.1 Andy Murray in straight sets at the French Open 2020. But, he choked again in the third round losing to Hugo Gaston- a player who ranked above 200 in the ATP rankings. He managed to reach the quarters of the recently concluded ST. Petersburg Open 2020 but lost to Denis Shapovalov in back to back sets.

Age is undoubtedly an obstacle in Wawrinka’s fitness. It has limited his fitness to a certain level. Though his serve remains powerful and accurate, he struggles to chase drop shots and cover the court. Retirement is surely his call to make. But, fans want to watch Wawrinka as long as possible.

Joe Judge on Daniel Jones’ viral trip: ‘Internet is undefeated’

0

The turf-monster tackle on Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is the newest viral meme on social media.

“Internally, that’s something eventually we will be able to laugh about,” Giants coach Joe Judge said. “The Internet is undefeated. There are funny things all over the place. You just have to have a sense of humor. You have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes.”

From a football standpoint, Jones’ 80-yard run on a read-option keeper around the edge – before he tripped over his own feet trying to find an extra gear in open space – was a momentum-changer for the Giants. Jones was touched down at the 8-yard line and Wayne Gallman finished the drive with the go-ahead score.

“I thought he made a nice run,” Judge said. “We’d like him to stay up and finish it. He stumbled. That’s something you don’t want to happen. I thought Jason [Garrett] made a good call at the right time and Daniel did a good job on the mesh as far as hiding that thing, disguising and pulling it. It was a really nice run for the team, put us in a good position to score and the team capitalized.”

Pandemic ‘corona stamp’ made of toilet paper features elephant

0

Stamps are usually for honoring inspiring people or treasured symbols. But the coronavirus?

Austria’s peculiar new postal campaign pays tribute to the global pandemic with a stamp featuring an illustration of the COVID-19 pathogen alongside a line drawing of a baby elephant — mascot of the country’s social distancing push, the Guardian reported.

Beneath the charming doodle is a scaled measure of “1 meter,” which is the amount of space health officials have ordered between individuals in public spaces — as well as the average length of a baby elephant.

The cheeky stamps were also printed on three-ply toilet paper. Of course, bathroom tissue has become a global symbol for early pandemic struggles, when shortages on home staples became scarce as a result of public panic.

A “corona stamp” book includes just one stamp for a marked-up rate of 2.75 euros ($3.25) per stamp, some of which is intended for charity. The novelty postage is cut exactly 10 centimeters long, or one-tenth of the crucial meter distance.

“If you put 10 stamp sheets end to end, you get a metre’s distance in total –- or the length of a baby elephant. The famous baby animal is also printed on the stamp,” said the Österreichische Post in a statement. Photos demonstrate that the post office has also produced a special elephant stamp to accompany any mailer featuring the novelty stamp.

The British news service also pointed out that the Österreichische Post, headquartered in Vienna, is known for their irreverent promotional stunts. For example, their “Brexit stamp” poked fun at the protracted negotiations regarding the UK’s withdrawal schedule from the European Union. In their design, the date March 29, 2019 is crossed out, and beneath it Britain’s actual departure date, in January this year.

Austria recently hit a new high in their daily COVID-19 case count, with 2,571 reported as of October 23, according to the nation’s health ministry.

“This is a Business”- Former NBA Player Reasons Out Why Bradley Beal Should Move on From Washington Wizards

0

A player whose future has consistently been under the microscope just doesn’t seem to nudge. The Washington Wizards brought Bradley Beal in 2012, and it seems like he is here to stay.

However, Kendrick Perkins has some advice for the 28-year-old. Perkins thinks it’s high time that Beal moves on from the Wizards.

The two-time All-star could not make it to the Orlando Bubble this year. Despite averaging astronomical numbers like 30.5 points per game, setting a career-high, they also deprived him of his third NBA All-star selection. But this does not seem to pull the star down.

In this time, the Wizards have never made it past Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Hoping that longtime teammate John Wall will return, the franchise believes the duo can raise the Wizards to new heights; which explains why they’re apprehensive of letting Beal go.

But, with Beal entering the last season of his contract, a former NBA player has a suggestion ready for him.

Is it time for Bradley Beal to bid the Wizards adieu?

When asked whether he would like to spend his entire career with the Wizards, Beal couldn’t have been happier. He said, “I am a loyal guy. I want to be here. I’m here. I’ve signed my extension.

“And that will mean the world to me. That honestly would you know, being able to finish your career in one place? You know you don’t see that in today’s game.”

However, Perkins disagrees with this approach. He stated, “Bradley Beal is a wonderful human being.” And then he justified his stance and said, “He’s given his all to the Wizard organization.

“Even this past season, I mean he left it all out on the table for them and he’s entering his prime. I see him trying to run it back maybe one more year with a healthy John Wall. If that doesn’t pan out, it’s time for him to move on.”

Perkin strongly believes that Beal deserves better. “He deserves to be in a better team that is going to contend for a title,” asserted Perkins.

“I understand the loyalty part, but he also has to realize that this is a business. Because guess what? When he can’t contribute or the Wizards thing getting it done, he will be on the first thing smoking.”

It’s commendable to see the extent of Beal’s loyalty, but Perkins may be onto something. Beal needs to know where his growth lies, and that’s how he should make his decisions. If you could decide on a potential landing spot for Beal, what would it be?

The ‘RHONY’ cast is COVID-19 free despite production interruption

0

“The Real Housewives of New York” are COVID-19 free despite a crew member testing positive for the virus.

Multiple sources confirmed to Page Six on Friday that Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney, Sonja Morgan and newbie Eboni K. Williams are all healthy despite a Daily Mail report that one of the women tested positive two weeks ago.

An insider noted that production was “limited” and “not completely shut down” after the staffer tested positive, but everyone’s safety remained a priority.

Another insider previously told us that the network is taking extensive precautions to keep everyone safe and even requires the women to be tested before filming any scenes.

The ladies were just together in the Hamptons, where we’re sure more drama ensued.

Lucas Pouille and Amelie Mauresmo Announce Unfortunate News Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

0

After almost two years of joining hands, Lucas Pouille has announced that he’s ending his collaboration with Amelie Mauresmo. The latter had joined Poullie’s coaching team in December 2018, but their relationship has now come to an end.

I am very happy to start my new collaboration,” Pouille said back in 2018. “I think her experience as a player and coach will help me achieve my goals.

But as reported by ‘The Team,’ Mauresmo has stepped down from the role due to family issues. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused havoc, and the mother of two is not finding it easy to travel without family due to the imposed guidelines. Co-trainer Loic Courteau is however staying as a part of the unit.

Amelie Mauresmo still stands as an inspiration for female coaches, depicting that they’re equally talented when it comes to coaching male tennis players. She has previously coached three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray as well.

Pouille is yet to play an ATP game since tennis activities resumed amid the pandemic. The 26-year-old last played at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in June, where he lost to Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.

When is Lucas Pouille returning to the ATP tour?

2020 has taken everything and everyone by storm. The entire world was forced to go into lockdown for a few months due to the coronavirus. However, even though the virus is still out there, people are adjusting to the new normal.

But Lucas Pouille is not yet ready to play on the ATP tour. The Frenchman has skipped all the events that have taken place till now. However, Pouille does intend to come back to competitive tennis, but not as soon as the Rolex Paris Masters, which is scheduled for November 2.

Pouille will play a couple of tournaments in the 2020 ATP calendar to warm up for the first main event of 2021. The Australian Open is the tournament Lucas Pouille is eyeing to make a proper comeback. He achieved his career-best Grand Slam finish at Melbourne, when he reached the semi-final in 2019.

Lucas Pouille is currently ranked 69th in the world, which is drastically high, as he ended 2019 in the Top 20s.

Walker Buehler will come up big

0

Muting our critics and the field once again last week, our NFL record against the spread is now 55-33. You’re welcome.

So the World Series is knotted at one. Both teams with a W and, hey, we got two. Game 3 becomes one to pivot on and the Dodgers are counting on Walker Buehler to help them rebound after the tag team of Tony Gonsolin and Dustin May let the Rays pull away in Game 2. Buehler is 1-0 with a 1.89 ERA this postseason. And he’s fanned 29 in 19 innings. As good as Buehler has been, the Rays’ Charlie Morton has been better. The 36-year-old Morton is 3-0 this postseason, his ERA a ridiculous 0.57. The crafty war horse has registered 17 Ks over 15 frames. Morton is a playoff perfect 5-0 with Tampa and he closed out LA in the 2017 World Series wearing Houston Astros colors. Expecting both pitchers to show up and hand off a low-scoring contest to the pens. Taking the Dodgers for 40 units.

“Eagles 22, Giants 21. Stitches, you have two minutes to respond, uninterrupted.” Thank you, Kristen. Debated whether to watch Giants/Eagles or Trump/Biden. Saw both, still think all four are tough to root for. “L” has us at -668 jaworskis.
