Battlegrounds Mobile India Ask Players to Transfer PUBG Mobile Data, Sets December 31 Deadline

Key Specifications:

  • Battlegrounds Mobile India asks the players to complete PUBG Mobile data import before December 31.
  • Andriod users can only use their Facebook Account for data transfer.
  • PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020

Battlegrounds Mobile India is reminding its players to finish data transfers from PUBG Mobile before the deadline. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will quickly shut down knowledge transfers from PUBG Mobile. According to it, transfers will be shut down after December 31 this year.

Ever since its launch, BGMI allowed its users to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile via Facebook and Twitter. For that, the players need to use the same social media accounts for PUBG Mobile. For the assistance of the players, Krafton releases a how-to on its website with proper instructions on what can be transferred and what cannot.

Krafton releases the following statement:

“In order to ensure a more smooth gameplay for players who had used PUBG Mobile Normdic Map: Livik (“Prior App”) before. Battlegrounds Mobile India (“New App”) will transfer some of the data from the Prior App account to the New App”

So, the last day for data transfers from PUBG Mobile Nordic Map is December 31. After which all the data will be lost. To proceed with data transfer, Android phone players can use only their Facebook Accounts. While the iOS users need to use the Twitter account. Since the game was released earlier this year, it does not support transfers via Google Play Games account.

Krafton recently make it necessary for Android users to have the Facebook app installed on the phone for account linking. This will be applicable to data transfers, as well. For Twitter, web logins will work.

How to Transfer Data from PUBG Mobile to Battlegrounds Mobile India?

To transfer your data, follow these steps:

  • First of all, download BGMI on your Android phone or iPhone
  • Continue with the setup until you have created a character.
  • After you are done with the character, a pop-up will appear on the screen asking you if you want to begin the data transfer.
  • Tap on “Yes”. It will take you to another prompt that asks about the account for import.
  • Choose the account that you had previously used to sync your PUBG Mobile data. This could be Facebook or Twitter.
  • After choosing the platform for data transfer, continue with the process by tapping “Agree”. After the transfer is complete, you will be notified.

Tesla launches Cyberquad, an all-electric quad bike for kids, at about Rs 1.42 lakh

Key Specifications:

  • Tesla launches new kids electric bike- Cyberquad
  • This bike is developed for kids 8 years old and up.
  • Tesla will ship Cyberquad in the next 2-4 weeks

After the massive popularity of Cyberwhistle on Social media, Tesla launches a four-wheel all-electric ATV for children. It has been given the name -Cyberquad. Cyberquad is now up for sale on Tesla’s official website.

Cyberquad looks like a kids’ toy car. The quad bicycle features an off-road vehicle (or ATV) structure factor inspired by the Cybertruck design. It is designed for kids 8 years old and up.

Cyberquad Specifications

It includes a steel frame, cushioned seat, and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking. There are even LED light bars to complete the cyberpunk aesthetics. This all-electric ATV has a top speed of 10mph, and the battery will power up to 15 miles of range.

For drawing its power, the Cyberquad uses a lithium-particle battery which promises up to 15 miles (around 24 km) of reach and a maximum velocity of 10 mph (around 16 kmph). The maximum velocity is configurable, which means the parents can control the speed according to the need.

It will provide three-speed settings – 5kmph, 8 kmph, 10mph, and 5mph in reverse. As per Tesla, the ATV for kids will take up to 5 hours for a full charge. The range that it delivers after a charge will depend on a user’s weight and riding style.

The kiddie Cyberquad is not a new sight. Tesla chief Elon Musk had given the world its first glimpse for adults a couple of years ago at the world premiere of the much-vaunted Tesla Cybertruck, and the model for kids is a lot like it, except it’s much smaller.

Cyberquad Price

Nevertheless, the cost is not as sweet as the vehicle itself looks. The Cyberquad will cost you $1900, which equates to around Rs 1.42 lakh. Thus it will be a premium bike rather than a toy car.

It will arrive in 2 to 4 Weeks

Right now, the company will ship Cyberquad in the US only. However, The company will not ship bikes to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico, Tesla said.

Tesla mentions that it will start shipping the Cyberquad in two to four weeks. However, it is clear on the website that the orders put for the Cyberquad “are not assure to show up before the holidays.” So parents considering gifting their children the fairly classy vehicle should be careful about the shipping details.

Meta Launches New Platform, Safety Hub to Protect Women in India

Meta, owned by Facebook on Thursday, announces a slew of steps to protect woman users on its platform. It takes several initiatives aimed towards the online safety of women. It also includes a project to prevent the spread of non-consensual intimate images

Meta announces three initiatives to Protect Women

Meta announces three initiatives to help protect women in India. These include a new platform to check and limit the sharing of non-consensual intimate images (NCII). It will be available in Hindi and 11 other Indian languages. Meta has also appointed Indian members to its Global Women’s Safety Expert Advisors.

StopNCII.org is an initiative by Meta to prevent the spread of non-consensual intimate images (NCII), call as “revenge porn”. In partnership with UK Revenge Porn Helpline, StopNCII.org builds on Meta’s NCII Pilot. It is an emergency program that allows potential victims to proactively hash their intimate images

The platform is in partnership with organizations such as Social Media Matters, the Centre for Social Research, and Red Dot Foundation.

The platform will let women, who are victims, submit their cases to the platform. It will work with companies such as Facebook, Linkedin, Bumble, Discord, and others to ensure that such images get remove. Women can create their cases on the platform and keep a track of the status as well.

This tool will generate a hash from someone’s intimate images where a unique hash value is added to an image. Duplicate copies of the image all have the exact same hash value. StopNCII.org then shares the hash with participating companies so they can help detect and remove the images from being shared online.

Meta has also launched the Women’s Safety Hub. It includes specific resources for women leaders, journalists, and survivors of abuse. Additionally, it also contains video-on-demand safety training and allows visitors to register for live safety training. It will now be available in 12 languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Meta Appointed big members as a part of Global Women’s Safety Expert Advisors

Meta has also appointed Bishakha Datta, who is Executive Editor at Point of View, and Jyoti Vadehra, Head of Media & Communications at the Centre. They are the first Indian member to its Global Women’s Safety Expert Advisors. The group comprises 12 other non-profit leaders, activists, and academic experts from different parts of the world and consults Meta in the development of new policies.

Meta also launched a discussion paper by Sattva Consulting titled, ‘Connect, Collaborate and Create: Women and Social Media During the Pandemic’. The Meta-commissioned paper talks about measures to address the sharp gender imbalance in social media usage in India.

The paper highlights that only 33 percent of women in India use social media, against 67 percent of men. The paper suggests ways to bridge the gender divide due to issues such as limited internet connectivity in rural areas, lack of device ownership, and poor digital literacy.

The Freshest Gaming Services You Can Play Right Now

Our modern media environment is a veritable Shangri-la of entertainment. From streaming services vying for our attention with hundreds of hours of top quality TV and movies, to social media and its frenzy of memes and viral trends, there’s never been more to keep us busy. Yet sometimes we need to take a more active role if we’re to stave off boredom.

That’s when gaming comes in.

Now that the gaming industry has gone truly mainstream, this sector benefits from a huge range of platforms and services designed to cater to your gaming needs. Whether you’re looking to play social puzzles with friends, arcade classics, or the latest Triple A title, there are dozens of ways to engage with your chosen gaming content nowadays. Below we take a look at the freshest, most compelling gaming services out there as we head into 2022. Whether you’re a committed Esports athlete with a gaming PC, or a casual player on your lunch break, you’re sure to find something that’ll take your interest here.

Netflix Games

Netflix was the first true content streaming platform to begin offering this service to the public, over 10 years ago. Nowadays, Netflix has more competition than ever from the likes of Disney+, Amazon Prime and more. Yet Netflix retains its preeminent position in the sector, and now appears to be branching out into gaming.

November 2021 saw the launch of Netflix Games, an app gaming service available for Android and iOS that gives you access to a range of titles included with your Netflix subscription. This service is small and ostensibly still in a beta phase of development, but holds great promise given Netflix’s pedigree for producing and licensing great entertainment products. At present there are 5 games you can play on Netflix Games: Shooting Hoops, The Game, Card Blast, Teeter Up and the obvious jewel in the crown, Strange Things: 1984, an isometric spin-off of the popular 80s inspired TV show.

Facebook Instant Games

Facebook has been offering its users integrated games on its platform for years and it remains one of the best possible ways to enjoy certain titles. From Words with Friends to 8 Ball Pool, you’ll find a host of modern classics represented there. Facebook’s social integration means you can challenge your friends to games, compete on global leaderboards and brag about your winning streak to your news-feed, making it the premier location for browser based mini-games.

PokerStars Casino

iGaming is a growing sector with many reputable platforms now offering a host of titles to explore at your leisure. One popular platform is that of PokerStars Casino – it features a range of slots titles, as well as variants of popular casino table games from blackjack to roulette. The service can be reached via an app available for iOS and Android, or a web client, giving you flexibility as to how to access it. This service also offers novel features such as live dealer rooms, giving added immersion and excitement to your session.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a novel gaming platform that bridges several worlds. In one sense, it is the immediate successor to Xbox Live, the Xbox console’s in-house online multiplayer client and web-store. Yet Game Pass Ultimate has a few extra tricks up its sleeve. For one, a regular subscription to the service gives you access to a range of full games, in much the same way as Netflix gives you free range of its catalogue.

Where this gets particularly interesting though, is that you don’t need an Xbox in order to access these titles. Game Pass Ultimate can be used with any mobile device or Windows PC, giving you a lot of flexibility in how, and where, you want to play. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also features Xcloud, Microsoft’s nascent cloud gaming service. This feature lets you stream games straight to a compatible device without having to download or install the game.

Uber, WhatsApp launch ride-booking via messaging app in India: Here’s how it will work

  • Uber and WhatsApp partner to launch ride-booking via WhatsApp in India.
  • It is being rolled out on a pilot basis in the northern city of Lucknow
  • Booking a ride via WhatsApp is starting in English only, but will be expanded to other Indian languages soon.

Uber and WhatsApp announced a partnership in India, allowing people to book an Uber ride via Uber’s official WhatsApp chatbot. The partnership will expand Uber’s services. It is being rolled out on a pilot basis in the northern city of Lucknow first and will be expanded to other Indian cities soon. The move could help Uber tap into the more than 500 million user base of Meta Platforms.

Riders will no longer need to download or use the Uber app. Everything from user registration, booking a ride, and getting a trip receipt will be managed within the WhatsApp chat interface. WhatsApp users can book a ride through either messaging to Uber’s business account number, scanning a barcode, or clicking a link directly to open an Uber WhatsApp chat.

Senior Director, Business Development, Uber APAC, Nandini Maheshwari, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for all Indians to take an Uber trip, and to do that we need to meet them on platforms they are comfortable with. Our partnership with WhatsApp gives riders a new way to get a ride through a simple, familiar, and trusted channel.”

Uber ride-booking through Whatsapp: Step by Step guide

  • The users can book a ride via three methods: Scanning a QR code, Clicking on the direct link, and Messaging Uber’s Business account number.
  • The user will then be asked to input the pickup location and the destination.
  • A message will then display the fare and the driver’s expected time of arrival.
  • The user will then be informed about the name of the driver and the license plate of the driver. The user will be able to track the driver and talk to him/ her anonymously.
  • The safety and insurance features will remain the same for the users of Whatsapp Chatbot like the Uber App users.
  • The ’emergency’ button can be clicked by the user, during the trip. A customer support team representative will call the user if they press the emergency button. For drivers, however, there will be no change from the old procedure.

Head of WhatsApp India, Abhijit Bose, said: “The Uber experience on WhatsApp is simple, familiar, and relatable for users and has the potential to accelerate the adoption of Uber with a new category of riders in India.” Booking a ride via WhatsApp is starting in English only, but will be expanded to other Indian languages soon.
