Fortnite Chapter 3 leak hints at a new unique map: check details here

Epic Games announces the end of Fortnite Chapter 2, which is set to take place with a big in-game event on December 4 titled “The End”. In this event, players will compete and get rewards. Now, the players have started teasing with hints at Chapter 3.

Fortnite Chapter 3 map might come with smaller islands around a big central island

The official Fortnite Twitter handle teases that Chapter 3 will feature a completely new map. There will be a new setting where players will find “an undiscovered world with new secrets to unfold. While no other information reveals by the company yet.

Leaks on several social media platforms including Twitter and Reddit suggest that Epic Games and Fortnite have been working on the Chapter 3 map for quite some time. A Twitter account that goes by the name Fortnite News comes up with some details about the upcoming Fortnite island.

According to him, the map has a large central island that is surrounded by small multiple-themed islands. The small islands around the main central island might be themed after locations in the previous map including Glossy Glacier, Dusty Desert, Mossy March, and Monster Mansion.

The developers of the game do not reveal any information about the design and detail of the map. The current hints indicate that there will definitely be a serious change from the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 maps. The developers do not release the launch date of Chapter 3. Fortnite will announce the official maintenance and server downtime soon. Although we expect the new chapter to begin soon after December 4.

Krafton is going to introduce a new parental control feature for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) under its ‘Game Responsibly’ campaign. Under the initiative, the company will add a new level of parental control, via time limitations and OTP confirmation.

This Campaign includes a virtual world warning message, OTP authentication for all players under 18 years of age, break reminders for better game-life balance, gameplay limits, and daily spend limits for players to prevent overspending.

In addition, BGMI says that it has even sensitized in-game graphics to inculcate a healthy and responsible gaming culture. We have reduced violence, bloodshed, and set parameters that keep the language in check. Now, the new privacy policy says that all players under the age of 18 requires to take their parents’ consent to play Battlegrounds Mobile India.

BGMI ‘Game Responsibly’ campaign

With the campaign, the company is looking to limit the amount of time spent by underage users on playing the game to 3 hours. Now, the players under the age of 18, will require their parents’ consent to play. The parents will have to provide them with an OTP, which will work as a key to playing the game.

The company also introduces a daily spend limit of Rs 7,000. This feature will help put a stop to children’s reckless spending. It will alert parents before their children spend a lot of their hard-earned money.

Just before the game starts, BGMI shows a warning to make sure players are aware of the virtual world they are entering. Even the in-game audio has been tweaked to continuously remind players that the game exists in a virtual world and not real life.

Krafton gives the following statement:

“Every player, below the age of 18, needs to register a parent or a guardian before they start playing for the first time.  It will send an OTP to the registered person’s number, post which the minor is allowed to play the game

WhatsApp Spotted Testing Quick Forward Option For Stickers

The Instant messaging app WhatsApp is testing a new feature to forward stickers on its instant messaging platform. The shortcut will allow users to quickly forward a WhatsApp sticker to some other contact without the need to view or save the sticker. The new feature is currently available to WhatsApp Beta users on Android. Soon WhatsApp is going to launch this feature globally.

A few days ago, WhatsApp also rolled out the ability to create stickers on the web version of the messaging app. The feature will be made available to the mobile version of the app soon.

In order to get the feature, users will have to update their beta app to the 2.21.24.11 version.

How does it work?

The forward shortcut will appear next to the sticker in the message thread. You can tap on the shortcut and forward it to your contacts. Once the feature is rolled out, users will not have to follow the lengthy process of tapping and holding the sticker and then forwarding it to their contacts.

WhatsApp currently has the shortcut button for images. You would notice a shortcut button next to the image on your message thread. You can simply tap on it and send it to your contacts instead of holding it and then sending it to the contact.

On a related note, Users on the web can now create their own stickers using pictures. Along with the feature to turn pictures into stickers, users can also add smileys, existing stickers, and even add texts to the self-created stickers. WhatsApp will also get a dozen editing features. The custom sticker maker feature has been launched for WhatsApp on Mac and PC.

Here is how you can make stickers on WhatsApp

  • Users can open the chat window
  • Tap on the attachment paperclip icon and attach a sticker
  • Upload a photo to create your custom sticker.
  • You can outline and crop your photo into a sticker and add emojis or words to it

Whatsapp was also spotted testing the feature on the mobile version of the app. The company may bring the custom sticker maker to the mobile app users as well.

Epic Games Store reveals free titles for next week. There are two Epic Games Store free games available for users to claim. The free titles for the month of December will be available on the Epic Games Store between December 2 and 9.

Both of these titles will replace The Hunter: Call Of The Wild and Antstream, which will still be available on December 2 as their last day

Epic Games free titles December 2021

Just like PlayStation Plus, Epic Games store also offers free titles to customers every month. This time, the new titles are Dead By Daylight and While True: Learn().

Dead By Daylight

It is a horror-themed multiplayer game. It is developed and published by Behaviour Interactive in the year 2016. The gameplay consists of a killer and four trapped people on a map. While the killer tries to hunt the players in a first-person POV, the survivors have to work in collaboration to gather resources to leave the map.

It is available across all leading platforms such as Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.

While True: Learn()

It is a puzzle game where the player is tasked with building a “cat-to-human translation system”. The game uses a coding-type interface that the player navigates to build systems on the way to understanding their cat, and boasts that players can even learn to build things like “a self-driving car”

It is a simulator game that is based on the story of a machine learner who is trying to create a language to communicate with a cat. The game is based on concepts such as machine learning, big data, neural networks, and artificial intelligence. While not all players will enjoy this game, those who wish to learn about artificial intelligence and machine learning will enjoy this educational game.

The game is available on Microsoft Windows, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Both the new games will be available to access after December 9 until next month in January when Epic Games Store comes up with new games.

How to claim free games on the Epic Games Store?

First of all, you’ll need to first download the Epic Games Store launcher on your PC and create an account.

To download the Epic Games launcher:

PUBG: New State developer- Krafton reveals that the game is going to bring a new update next week. This new update will bring a function to restrict cheating and third-party programs to exploit the game in real-time. The update will also improve user experience by fixing issues with the gyroscope and in-game sound system.

In addition to the update, Krafton announced that PUBG: New State has surpassed the mark of 40 million downloads. It is celebrating the success by hosting a virtual party in the battle royale game and rewarding gamers with offerings including Chicken Medals and BP Random Boxes.

The new anti-cheat mechanism will prevent the players from using third-party programs and gaining an unfair advantage in the game. It will also enhance the restrictions, suspensions, and bans being levied on unauthorized third-party programs.

Bugs Resolves

The update will also fix issues with the sound of footsteps was not consistent in certain situations, the game publisher notes. Further, the update will include fixes for issues where characters bounce back to their original positions when they walk or run on the stairs or the edge of buildings, scope sights display abnormally, and a grey ball suddenly appears in the lobby.

The update will also fix issues with gyroscope sensitivity and add inverted controls for gyroscopes. Similarly, it will fix bugs related to virtual control and squad killing. PUBG: New State will also get a full sprint character motion for an improved character experience. It will also fix the graphics when accessing the game via deep links on iOS. There will also be other known bug fixes

Alongside the update, PUBG: New State crosses the milestone of 40 million downloads worldwide. To celebrate the success, the game is offering a seven-day virtual event for the players. It will last until December 6 and will bring rewards including three Chicken Medals on the first, fourth, and seventh day.

Game players will also get BP Random Boxes on the third and fifth day of the event. There will be Troi 150 percent BP Card and Erangel 150 percent BP Card on the day second and sixth of the event, respectively.

Exact details about when the update will reach users are yet to be revealed, though Krafton said that the game will undergo maintenance next week to get the changes.

Swiggy new membership programme offers unlimited free deliveries

Food tech major Swiggy launches an upgraded membership program ‘Swiggy One’. According to the company, it will offer subscribers unlimited free deliveries, discounts, and other benefits across its services.

Swiggy is providing this service only for its partner restaurants till now. But under the new plan, it is going to provide this service for all online food, grocery platforms. It will be going to add more offers in the coming months. It includes pickup and drops service Genie and additional discounts and benefits at meat stores.

Swiggy One Membership Plan Pricing

The new Swiggy One membership plan costs Rs 299 for the first three months and Rs 899 for the full year. This means that a member will spend only Rs 75 in a month under the annual plan.

Swiggy has confirmed that all existing Super Subscribers will automatically be upgraded to Swiggy One. They don’t need to pay extra money for the remainder of their active membership. They will also get a one-month complimentary extension on their existing plan.

The program is currently live in four cities– Lucknow, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada.  Swiggy is planning to expand it across more than 500 cities in the next two weeks

Just a few months back, Swiggy’s rival Zomato introduced the Zomato Pro Plus subscription plan, offering unlimited free delivery on the platform with no surge fees and no distance fees. However, it has been introduced as an ‘invite-only membership’ system, which means that only a select few users have been able to subscribe to the Zomato Pro Plus membership.

Truecaller brings Video caller ID, call recording and more features to Android users in India

Truecaller announces a series of new features as part of its “Truecaller Version 12” update. Some of these features include video caller ID, call recording, and a completely new interface for users. With this, Truecaller is deeming the update as the “best version of Truecaller yet.”

All these new features will allow people to enjoy and exercise greater control over their communication, offering a safe, fun, and fulfilling experience at the same time.

The company has said that it reached 300 million monthly active users globally, and out of which 220 million users are from India alone. The new features are available only for Android users. This app is available on iOS but the features are limited due to Apple’s restrictions.

With the new update, A total of five features announces. Among these, some will be exclusively available for premium members.

Truecaller New Features

Video Caller ID

As the name suggests, Video Caller ID allows users to set a short video that plays automatically when they call friends and family. Users can choose from one of the built-in video templates or record their own video. This feature will be available for all Truecaller Android users.

Call Recording

Truecaller will introduce the Call Recording feature as a Premium-only feature on Truecaller. The new update will now make it available to everyone running Android 5.1 and newer. With Call Recording, users will be able to record all incoming and outgoing calls regardless of whether your device includes the feature or not.

It will be an additional feature. Truecaller clears that all recordings are stored locally on the device storage and that the company does not have access to these at all. Users will be able to listen to or delete recordings within Truecaller or by using a file browser.

The app will also allow users to share the recordings using email, Bluetooth, or any messaging service. Users will be able to start recording with a single tap in either Full-Screen or Pop Up Caller ID after the initial setup process.

New Interface 

With the update, Truecaller is going to introduce separate tabs for calls and SMS. This will help users keep track of both calls and SMS right through the home screen of the app.

Ghost Call

Ghost Call feature will let users set any name, number, and photo to make it appear as if they are getting a call from that person. Users will also be able to choose a contact from their phonebook for the ghost call. In addition, the app will allow users to schedule the Ghost Call for a later time. Ghost Call feature will only be available to Truecaller Premium and Gold subscribers.

Subscription of Truecaller Premium is priced at Rs 179 for three months, Rs 339 for six months, and Rs 529 for a year. The Truecaller Gold Membership coast you Rs 2500 per year.

Call Announce 

This feature will speak the caller ID for incoming phone calls out loud. This works for saved contacts as well as for numbers identified by Truecaller on both normal voice calls and Truecaller HD Voice calls. Users will also be able to use it while wearing headphones. Call Announce will only be available to Premium and Gold subscribers.

The popular Battle Royale game- Fortnite will be closing Chapter 2 on December 4, 2021. Like all other seasons in the game, Season 8 will end with an event called “The End.” Players will join Fortnite servers on December 4 at 4 PM ET or on December 5, 02:30 AM IST.

As mentioned in the official blog post by Team Fortnite players will “take on The Cube Queen in one last stand for the date of the Island.”

It means Fortnite players will soon be playing on a new map entirely, beginning with the next chapter. A similar event was seen during the end of Fortnite’s last chapter when the game’s original island was destroyed due to a black hole.

Fortnite Event Details

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 finale will support large parties of up to 16 players queued together. The players who log in to the game before the end of Season 8 will get a 225,000 XP reward.” The End” will be available as a one-time-only event. Creators are asked to be cautious with their recordings as replays will not be available. Additionally, players have to set their preferred visual setting before the event begins as they would not be able to tweak it post-commencement.

When the third Season will appear? What the third chapter might look like and what new changes players can expect to see in-game is also still a mystery. But, one thing is sure that Chapter 3 will come sometime after Chapter 2 ends on December 4, but we have no more information on the same yet.

Team Fortnite asks players to finish off quests before Fortnite Chapter 2 ends

Fortnite Team asks players to complete their quests and unlock the remaining rewards before Chapter 2 Season 8 ends on December 4, 2021. Some of the quests include Cube Queen’s Page 1 & 2 quests, collecting the Color Bottles and Rainbow Ink, and trading in remaining Battle Stars. Fortnite will also begin with its Bargain Bin Week sale on all character services and exotic items. The sale will begin on November 30, 2021.

According to the official Fortnite blog post, the game will “be holding a Power Leveling Weekend starting from November 26 at 7 PM ET – November 29 at 7 AM ET.” There are speculations that Season 3 will release either on December 6 or December 7. Official Announcement will confirm the same.

Yesterday, WhatsApp announces a new custom sticker maker feature for WhatsApp Web users. Users on the desktop can now create their own stickers using pictures. Along with the feature to turn pictures into stickers, users can also add smileys, existing stickers, and even add texts to the self-created stickers.

WhatsApp will also get a dozen editing features. The custom sticker maker feature has been launched for Mac and PC. With the new feature, users don’t have to download third-party stickers and can create stickers using a few simple steps.

There is no clarity on when it will be available for Android or iOS users. Ensure that you are on the latest version of WhatsApp Web to use the feature right away. Once on the latest version, go to any chat where you want to send a custom sticker. Click on the attach icon in the chat bar and then opt for the sticker option.

The sticker maker option is available for group chats and individual chats both on the Web.

Here is how you can make stickers on WhatsApp

  •  Open WhatsApp Web, go to the chat you want to send the custom sticker to.
  • Click on the attach icon in the chat bar (paperclip icon) and then opt for the sticker option
  • Once the new Sticker option is selected via the attach button, users can select any image saved onto their computer to edit and customize. Select the photo that you want to send as a sticker, and edit it on WhatsApp using the tools offered.
  • WhatsApp allows you to add emojis, stickers from your sticker panel, and even add text. WhatsApp users can even draw on the image, or crop it if they desire. Options to undo and redo an edit action are also available.
  • Once the custom sticker is successfully edited and created, WhatsApp users can select the Send option available at the bottom right of the chat screen.

The feature is currently at its beta stage and will reportedly be rolled out to the users in the next few weeks.

Windows 11 latest update brings new emojis! And lots of bug fixes

Windows 11 in its latest update brings a bunch of new emojis along with lots of bug fixes and improvements. The emoji have also been redesigned to include bright and saturated colors, but lack the 3D aspects that made them pop. “The new emoji style is only available in Windows 11 and is 2D.

The update brings the Windows 11 build number to 22000.348 and issues several bug fixes as well. If you were experiencing issues with the fonts, audio, and other weird issues, you should head for the Windows Update option in Settings and get the update immediately.

The new emojis are a controversial topic for users. In July 2021, Microsoft announced 3D emojis for various products, such as Windows, Teams, Skype, etc. When the redesign arrived in preview builds of Windows 11, users discovered a major disappointment: instead of the promised 3D emojis, they received a somewhat bland and flat 2D version. Microsoft attempted to clarify the situation by stating that the company used “wrong graphics” during the initial announcement.

Windows 11 2 D Emojis

The new emojis have two variants: 3D for apps and 2D for the operating system. Apps that support the redesigned emojis will use the 3D version (Microsoft Teams, Skype, Office, and others), but Windows will stick to the 2D version.

Microsoft does not plan to bring the new emojis to Windows 10.  These emojis are exclusive to Windows 11. Still, you can install the new emojis from Windows 11 on computers with Windows 10.

One of the biggest highlights with Windows this year is the native support for Android apps; something that was previously possible with third-party emulators only. Microsoft isn’t hosting its own Android app store though; it is partnering with Amazon to bring its app store into the Microsoft Store. At the launch event, Windows 11 was shown to run apps like TikTok and Instagram natively as Windows apps.

 Bug fixes

It solves address problems with File Explorer not working, and it turns the blue screen of death (BSOD) back to blue instead of black.

Another fix is that patches issues with context menus. Finally, there’s a fix for NFS if you rename a file from an NFS share through File Explorer

Fixes have also been applied to the taskbar including fixes for icon flickering when hovering over taskbar icons and performance improvements for icon animations.
